ESTA Application Form For USA Travel

The ESTA application form can easily be filled out and submitted within ten minutes. All citizens of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are eligible for travelling to the United States for a maximum of 90 days. The Electronic System for Travel Authorization is an online, automated system used to verify whether you are authorized for entry to the USA. If you are a person from a Visa Waiver country, you can fill out and submit the USA ESTA application, which gives you the opportunity to enter the USA. The USA ESTA does not give people an automatic entry to the USA, but rather permission to go through US immigration after a long flight or boat ride. It is the US immigration officer that decide if a traveller can enter the United States of America or not. It is suggested to apply for the travel authorization at least 72 hours prior to travelling.

Once you have received confirmation and your reference number, you may print it out and keep it with your other travel documents. Your reference number you received after applying is automatically archived in a large database that all airports can access. However, it is recommended to always bring your USA ESTA number with you when travelling. If you plan to visit the US with your spouse or children, you may apply for multiple ESTA applications. Each traveller is ultimately responsible for completing the ESTA application on his or her own, and that the information provided is as up-to-date as possible. By giving accurate information, it might result in an easier visit to the US. Travellers who plan to stay in the US longer than 90 days can apply for other visas at the US Embassy or Consulate. The ESTA visa may be a good choice If your trip is shorter than 90 days, and you plan to visit friends or family or do sight-seeing. It is not required to have scheduled a flight or address prior to applying.

The Enchanced ESTA Application For Traveling to America

Since introducing the ESTA form, the security of the US Visa Waiver Program has increased. It was initially implemented to increase tourism in the United States of America. The United States Government added additional questions to answer before a person from a participating country within the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) can enter the United States of America with ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). This was done on November 3, 2014. The ESTA application has been enhanced to increase security to the United States. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated:

“The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is committed to protecting the United States by ensuring that ESTA adapts to meet evolving threats. The current ESTA application has been in operation for six years, and DHS has determined that the additional data requested will enhance their ability to more accurately screen and identify potential security risks.”
